Production Manager (must be a Qualified Artisan). Permanent position in Pretoria. To start immediately. Responsible for Operations Manufacturing in the Automotive Industry. Includes people management and budgetary/cost reporting. Overall Purpose of the Role: • Ability to read and understand technical drawings with hydraulics experience an added advantage. • Use computer software (Mastercam, Siemens) to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly. • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications. • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality. • Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly. • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise. • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening. • Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines. Qualifications for CNC Programmer • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/automotive environment. • Qualified toolmaker with minimum of 5 years’ experience • Sound knowledge of injection moulding/extrusion processes • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise. • Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential. • Available to work weekends and overtime. • Experience working on CNC, Milling, Surface grinder, Spark Eroder, Turning, Polishing NB!!!
