Reporting Financial Manager

Our client is looking for a Reporting Financial Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing all Statutory Reporting as well as various internal financial reports to management. You will be managing the finance department taking ownership of the maintenance of all accounting records and ensuring that all transactions, reports and documentation complies with the relevant regulations. You will need to analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to senior management on future financial plans. Responsibilities include: Managing daily activities for Accounting, Accounts Payables, Payroll and Treasury Providing financial reports and interpreting financial statements and reports while recommending further courses of action and maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy Managing monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts, computation and processing of monthly journal entries Analysing company's actual performance compared to the business plans/forecasts Collating monthly management committee packs Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset registers Reviewing bank and creditors reconciliations Maintaining and reconciling Right-of-Use assets and lease liabilities Reviewing and approving payments and bank beneficiaries Reviewing and submitting VAT201 returns and employees' tax returns Tax and deferred tax computations Calculating, submitting and managing income and provisional tax returns Assisting with the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts Coordinating and preparing the audit file for the Company's annual audit Managing the audit with the independent auditors Supporting and coordinating audit undertakings Preparing the Annual Financial Statements Managing and implementing audit findings Assisting with submissions for BBBEE scorecard Calculating and submitting annual insurance declaration Developing and maintaining the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls Coordinating, developing and updating written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process Researching and resolving accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance Maintaining and strengthening internal controls over financial reporting Researching and resolving accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting policies to ensure compliance Responsible for managing a large team of people, setting and managing goals and objectives and providing a framework for these to be met Requirements Qualified CA (SA) 5+ years relevant Financial reporting experience preferably in the Retail industry Managerial and leadership experience Practical experience on these systems - IQ Retail, Sync, Vena, Dynamics is preferred
