Factory Foreman

Needs to be on the floor, overseeing and knowing all that is happening. Needs to know the products and how they are put together. Experience as a cabinet maker a plus. Strong personality who will still take instruction. Get stuff fixed. Must know about woodwork and has been in the furniture industry. Experience in a factory environment working with different cultures. Basic MS Word, Excel and emails. Ability to read drawings and understand drawings done on Autocad. Report into Russel. On the floor more than in the office. Oversee all the departments. When quiet think where to use those not busy. Have authority and command respect – all for the good of the business. Driver’s licence with own vehicle. Non-smoker Maintenance and upkeep of machines ensuring that they are kept in order. Orchestrate the orders and communicate with logistics and despatch. Keep a check on clocking in cards and loadshedding. Enforce general discipline. Trustworthy – to open and close factory. Be responsible for all the products and contents of factory. Self-motivated, pro-active. Be in constant contact with suppliers and check up on them.
