NEW EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE Title: Project & Engineering Manager Area: Richards Bay Industry: Industrial & Heavy Engineering Projects Ref No.: TRG 2065 Salary: Market related basic R70 000 kpm (Neg) excl. benefits (M/Aid, Pension etc) Start Date: As soon as possible / Negotiable An opportunity for an experienced PROJECT & ENGINEERING MANAGER is required for permanent employment based in Richards Bay. The Project & Engineering Manager is responsible for establishing and running the Projects and Engineering departments with the objective of ensuring all projects (including his/her own projects) are delivered safely, within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality. This role will oversee the portfolio of projects and engineering, providing expert knowledge and support and monitoring progress as well as reporting on various departmental statuses. This role will also ensure that project and engineering resources are efficiently allocated and have the correct tools and processes in place and those resources are trained and equipped to deliver successfully. This position includes regular travel to Mozambique and will work on sites where drug and alcohol use is prohibited. Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project and Engineering departments. Manage to ensure that projects are delivered; without injuries or breach of HSE rules and regulations, on-time, as per scope/specification, to high quality standards, within budget. Manage the Project and Engineering teams and provide performance feedback and goal-setting; conducts annual performance reviews and skills development and training. Further requirements include technical assistance/audits and marketing of the company’s products and services to the client.
